President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and members of the government of Serbia attended today the ceremony where 177 cadets of the Military Academy and the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy were promoted to the first officer ranks of the Serbian Armed Forces.

In his address to the young officers in front of the House of National Assembly, the President said that the period ahead of us is not easy and that from today they will become someone who will always be in the front lines for the defence of our homeland and that they must always be with their people.
Vučić said that as the commander-in-chief and president of the Republic, he signed the consent to perform regular military service for 75 days and expressed confidence that the government will adopt that decision.
After reading the decree of the President of the Republic on the promotion of 177 cadets to the rank of second lieutenant, Vučić handed sabres dedicated for the best cadets.
