Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković said that a trilateral meeting with Priština did not take place today in Brussels because it was declined by their negotiator Besnik Bislimi refused.
He pointed out that during the tripartite meeting, Priština could have nominated whatever topics it wanted, but that Bislimi refused because Serbia’s delegation insisted on topics such as the Community of Serb Municipalities, services and the full implementation of all previously reached agreements.
The Director of the Office was speaking following a meeting during which the sides discussed comprehensive measures presented by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić for the protection of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija and the revival of the dialogue process.
According to him, the talks covered the bridge over the Ibar River, postal services, energy, telecommunications, missing persons and integrated management of crossings.
He stated that the topics also covered measures to revive the dialogue process, noting that Belgrade’s position is that a compromise solution to the issue of Kosovo and Metohija can be found only through dialogue.
