Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić spoke today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic Robert Kaliňák about the political and security situation in the region and the world, as well as the possibilities of deepening cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence.

Gašić said that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are committed to improving cooperation with Slovakia in the field of defence, with an emphasis on cooperation in military education, as well as intensifying military-to-military and advancing military-technical cooperation.
Kaliňák assessed that the determination of Serbia and Slovakia to continue strengthening their armed forces represents a platform for intensifying cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
