Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić pointed out today, after a meeting with Hungarian Minister of the Interior Sándor Pintér in Horgoš, that the situation regarding irregular migration on the Serbian-Hungarian border is stable and that joint activities to suppress them are yielding excellent results.

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that today the largest number of illegal migrants comes via Bulgaria – more than 50% – with about 30%-40% arriving via North Macedonia.
We have practically managed to stop this route, he emphasised, noting that there are still illegal migrants and attempts at crossing the border illegally, but that the number is much lower compared to a few years ago.
Dačić said that he also discussed with Pintér the improvement of procedures at border crossings, so that there would be as little delay as possible for the flow of people, goods, passenger and cargo vehicles, as well as rail traffic.
