Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković attended the central event at the National Museum in Zaječar as part of European Heritage Days, held in all European countries at the initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Union since 1991, traditionally during September and October.

At the opening of the exhibition, “Serbia in the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe”, Selaković pointed out that since 2003 and the country’s accession to the Council of Europe, European Heritage Days have been held regularly in Serbia, with the aim of raising the awareness of how much we are all connected.
According to him, Zaječar, with its position and importance, corresponds in the best way to the theme of this year’s event – “Routes, Networks and Connections”.
“Serbia in the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe” has been curated in a joint effort by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism and Youth and the Tourism Organisation of Serbia, within the framework of the Council of Europe Days.
