During the meeting, Mali emphasised that the project represents a new chapter in the history of relations between the two countries and noted that this is the first major investment from Luxembourg since Serbia firmly established itself on the investment map of Europe.
Serbia welcomes Luxembourg’s decision to invest here and hopes to see new projects, he said, also conveying to the Ambassador that Serbia has charted its European path, to which it is committed, and that this path entails the country’s development in all sectors, including energy, education, green projects and infrastructure necessary for investors.
He invited Luxembourg to present itself at Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, now that it has become an investor in Serbia.
The Ambassador remarked that the investment will encourage Luxembourg to be even more active in the future and explore all possibilities for continued investments in Serbia.
It is evident that Serbia is not merely waiting for its EU membership, but is actively working on development until it achieves it, Hübsch concluded.
