Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić met, on the sidelines of the second day of the 92nd session of INTERPOL General Assembly in Glasgow, with INTERPOL President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi.
In a friendly conversation with INTERPOL President Al-Raisi, Dačić underlined that the Serbian police try to enhance their engagement in order to strengthen the position of INTERPOL in the global plurilateral infrastructure.
During the talks, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed full support of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior to the proposed amendments to the Constitution of the INTERPOL and underlined that this would ensure stability in the management of INTERPOL, based on modern democratic principles.
Further steps to establish the INTERPOL Regional Bureau in Belgrade were agreed at the meeting, the aim of which is to additionally intensify exchange of information, organisation of joint training and development of advanced technological solutions.
Dačić invited Al-Raisi to visit the Republic of Serbia in the near future, according to a statement of the Ministry of the Interior.
