Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić said today, at the seventh Ministerial Conference of the Budapest Process, that Serbia is actively pursuing the common goal of resolving the migration problem.
Addressing conference participants, Dačić emphasised that migrations are almost never only a national problem, but always require intensive and effective cross-border and international cooperation.
He pointed out that one of the priority activities of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior is to develop a strategy to create a safer route for the movement of migrants and the establishment of an efficient system for the return of foreign citizens who do not meet, or no longer meet, the conditions for legal residence in the territory of Serbia.
According to him, Serbia will continue to protect the human rights of migrants and refugees and will strive to take measures to prevent all forms of discrimination as adequately as possible.
