Web Summit in Lisbon a major opportunity for domestic start-ups

Begović visited Serbia’s National Stand and Island at the summit, where domestic start-ups will be presented, as well as the country’s Pavilion, which will serve as a hub for the exchange of ideas and innovative technologies over the next four days.
In her address to journalists, Begović stated that this marks the first time Serbian start-ups are presenting themselves at the Web Summit in an organised manner, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. She explained that the start-ups’ participation is not only an opportunity to attract additional investment but also a chance to learn how to enhance the overall value of Serbia’s start-up ecosystem, thereby contributing to the country’s broader economic growth.
More than 3,000 start-ups and over 1,000 investors are participating in the Web Summit in Lisbon, which will run until 14 November.
