Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić said today that the Serbia-Africa 2024: Dignity conference has made a significant step towards strengthening political and security relations between Serbia and African countries.
Đurić emphasised that the conference, which was held in Belgrade, symbolises our shared commitment to mutual respect, solidarity and cooperation.
According to him, the gathering emphasises the historical ties between Serbia and the African continent, based on joint struggles for sovereignty and dignity.
We are honoured to have hosted representatives of 40 African countries, united around the principles of equality and partnership. Our discussions were productive and forward-looking, covering key topics such as sustainable development, investment, technology transfer and cultural exchange, the Minister said.
Serbia is ready to be a reliable partner to African countries, to share its knowledge and experience, as well as to learn from the innovative approaches of our friends from Africa, as we face global challenges together – from climate change to food security, Đurić said.
