Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke today with Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Stephen Doughty.
In a telephone conversation, Đurić informed the British Minister about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, presenting Belgrade’s positions on the recent sabotage on the Ibar-Lepenac canal in the municipality of Zubin Potok.
He emphasised that Serbia insists an investigation be conducted under strict international supervision, in order to determine who ordered and carried out the attack on a vital infrastructure facility in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as what the political background of this event was.
The Minister explained that Serbia will provide all necessary assistance to clarify the circumstances and bring those responsible to justice, noting that international partners can count on the state’s full cooperation.
The head of Serbian diplomacy warned that Priština is attempting to baselessly and without any evidence link Belgrade to this incident.
