Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said today that there are many initiatives for joint projects between the governments of Serbia and Republika Srpska and that is why it is important to preserve peace and stability in the Balkans.
In a statement to journalists in Nevesinje, during his visit to Republika Srpska, Vučević said that during his visit to Prebilovci, it was agreed to resolve the water supply issue, and announced that tomorrow in Trebinje, he will have a meeting on topics related to infrastructure projects in that part of Republika Srpska.
According to him, Serbia has large investments in Trebinje, projects in Nevesinje, and the airport project in Trebinje is also being implemented.
A lot of work is ahead of us, that is why it is important to preserve peace and stability in the Balkans, in Serbia, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. If we have those two preconditions, then we can talk about investments, projects and joint jubilee celebrations, said the Prime Minister of Serbia.
Vučević stated that the joint commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Nevesinje Uprising is part of the plan of Serbia and Republika Srpska to preserve the identity characteristics of the Serbian people, who are indivisible, no matter where they live.
This is part of the joint plan and of what is defined in the points of the Declaration of the All-Serb Assembly, which was held in Belgrade, said the Prime Minister.
We gathered back then to jointly preserve all the identity characteristics of our one and indivisible people, no matter in which country they live, Vučević reiterated and assessed that the plan to mark the jubilee of the Nevesinje Uprising is ambitious, but realistic.
He recalled that the aforementioned uprising was not only of a local character, but led to the liberation of Serbia and Montenegro, that is, to giving back independence to Serbia and Montenegro at the Berlin Congress.
The Prime Minister announced that Serbia, together with Republika Srpska, continues to jointly invest in municipalities in Republika Srpska, but also in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina where there is interest, that is, where the Serbian people live.
He explained that for those reasons he began his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina in Mostar and then in Prebilovci, in order to visit parts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina too.
We want to be with our people wherever they live, so administrative and technical matters cannot be an obstacle. I believe that we will be worthy of celebrating this great jubilee, Vučević concluded.
