Prime Minister Miloš Vučević today spoke with representatives of Zijin about the company’s further investments and business plans in Serbia.
Vučević emphasised at the meeting that the investment of this Chinese company is one of the most significant for Serbia, adding that he is pleased with Zijin’s continued investment in our country.
The Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction with the announcement by the company’s management that it would relocate its International Business Centre to Serbia.
He congratulated Zijin on the impressive results it is achieving globally, as well as in Serbia, which is the second most important copper producer in Europe.
The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that this company will continue to apply the most modern methods of exploitation in its work, taking into account the safety and health of workers and the protection of the environment.
The delegation of this company was led by Zijin Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors Chen Jinghe.
He emphasised that this company is determined to continue operating and investing in Serbia, with one of the goals being for Serbia to be the first in Europe when it comes to copper production.
Thanks to the good business climate in Serbia, as he added, this company intends to relocate its International Business Center here, which will contribute to Serbia, in addition to China, being the company’s centre of operations.
