At a news conference at the Serbian government building, Vučević said that the behaviour of opposition MPs is not related to the tragedy that took place in November in Novi Sad last year, nor to the lives lost, nor to the pain of the families of the 15 people who died in that tragedy.
The Prime Minister assessed that the terror of the political minority, whose aim is to violently overthrow the legal and legitimate government and take over the state without elections, that is, without the will of the people, as well as to nullify the essence of democracy, which is elections, is not dissipating.
He expressed sadness that such an image from Serbia will be carried by media outlets worldwide today, adding that irresponsible individuals had cast a stain on the entire country.
Vučević wished a speedy recovery to the injured MPs and expressed hope that the injured pregnant MP Sonja Ilić from Gračanica and the baby she is carrying will be fine.
The Prime Minister added that he had visited the injured Jasmina Obradović, an MP from Futog, and was convinced that the employees of the Emergency Centre had provided her with the best possible health care.
At the parliament, during the first sitting of the regular spring session, chaos and fighting broke out today after opposition MPs, following the adoption of the agenda, threw smoke bombs and lit flares in the chamber.
