The launching of a direct Air Serbia flight from Belgrade to Shanghai was marked last night with a ceremony at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
The ceremony ended with the cutting of the ribbon by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming and CEO of the national airline Jiří Marek.
The ceremonial farewell of the first direct flight was also attended by Serbian government ministers Darko Glišić, Husein Memić, Đorđe Milićević, Adrijana Mesarović, as well as State Secretary at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Damnjanović Sofronijević.
Flight JU986 departed from the Belgrade airport to Shanghai last night at 00:45.
