Prime Minister Miloš Vučević stated this evening in East Sarajevo, on the eve of the opening of the exhibition and promotion of monograph “Culture of Serbs in Sarajevo 1468-1941”, that the Serbs are an indigenous people living in the area of Sarajevo and the Sarajevo region, which, after many years, has been documented in the manner of serious state-building peoples.

Speaking at the Administrative Centre of Republika Srpska in East Sarajevo, Vučević pointed out that everything that is not written down becomes questionable after a certain time and is ultimately subject to revision and often falsification.
The Prime Minister assessed that this exhibition is a guide in the work of cultural institutions and individuals to protect the cultural heritage and identity of the Serb people.
According to him, this is a way to preserve the awareness of the continuous existence of the Serb people in Sarajevo, the city where Serbs have lived since its origin.
Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković said that the exhibition and monograph "Culture of Serbs in Sarajevo 1468-1941" is proof of the centuries-old presence of Serbs in that city.
Director of the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina Danijela Mrda stated that the exhibition and monograph speak of the five centuries of life and work that Sarajevo Serbs weaved into this space and left an indelible mark in art, trade, architecture, social and political life.
According to her, the exhibited documents and items are the best record of Serb history and culture in Sarajevo.
