Glamočić pointed out at the Belgrade Fair that in 2024, flowers and ornamental plants were grown in Serbia on approximately 1,000 hectares of arable land.
The Minister said that we have a deficit of €30 million, which indicates room for growth in domestic production and the need to focus on the development of this sector, so that horticulture, along with other branches of agriculture, becomes a significant resource.
When it comes to medicinal and aromatic herbs, he emphasised that exports are increasing every year, and in 2024 Serbia exported 4,000 tonnes, worth €24 million. Glamočić also opened the 49th International Construction Fair today, saying that infrastructure development is key to improving living conditions in rural areas.
