Developing cooperation with NATO within PfP programme

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic met in Brussels with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and underscored that both sides are satisfied with the level of cooperation achieved so far.

They said that Serbia wishes to develop its cooperation with the Alliance within the Partnership for Peace (PfP) programme.
Gasic talked about the adoption of the Individual Partnership Action Plan as the highest level of cooperation with a partner country which is not committed to achieving NATO membership.
He underscored that this document will facilitate construction of military capacities for contributing to international peace and stability and a better cooperation with NATO members on the bilateral level.
Gasic thanked KFOR on its professional approach and execution of the mandate granted in the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, concluding that the cooperation between KFOR forces and the Serbian Army is excellent on all levels.
