Prime Minister Ana Brnabic visited today the works on the construction of the Moravian Corridor in the part of Pojate-Krusevac, and on that occasion announced that the first sections on that most modern highway will be completed in 2022.
Brnabic, together with Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic and Acting Director of the Corridor of Serbia Aleksandar Antic, visited the works on the construction of the bridge near Cicevac, which will be approximately 500 metres long.
She pointed out that this corridor is one of the most important ones in Serbia, since it will be the first digital highway in our country, noting that in the budget for 2021, 330 billion dinars have been allocated for capital infrastructure projects, which is 5.5 percent of GDP.
The most modern highway in Serbia will be 112 km long and will connect the area where more than half a million people live. It will also connect three districts - Rasina, Raska and Moravica, with corridors 10 and 11.
A commercial contract for the construction of the highway from Pojat to Preljina was signed on 5 December 2019, with the American-Turkish company "Bechtel Enka UK Limited", worth €745 million.
