Petkovic, at an extraordinary media conference in the Government of Serbia, assessed that the two-day agony and serious crisis into which Albin Kurti and Pristina pushed us all show the full extent of Kurti's militancy, but also that the threat to Serbs in the north of the province does not stop.
He pointed out that last night over 100 ROSU special armed forces, with armored vehicles and water cannons, were ready to invade the north of the province and deal with the Serbian people, who were defending the right to freedom of movement and survival.
Petkovic rejected Kurti's accusations that we want conflicts, that we want to invade Kosovo-Metohija, and that we want to destabilise the area of the Western Balkans.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija emphasised that it is not in Belgrade’s interest as President Vucic called for peace many times in his speeches.
According to him, if we wanted conflicts, we would not have pulled the barricades, because they are not an end in themselves, but the only way for the Serbian people to point out the terror and problems they face every day.
