Serbia, Turkey sign several cooperation agreements

Belgrade, 7 September 2022

Officials of Serbia and Turkey signed today at the Palace of Serbia in the presence of the two countries’ presidents – Aleksandar Vucic and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan respectively – several agreements that will deepen cooperation between the two countries.

The Protocol on amendments to the Agreement on mutual abolition of visas signed in Belgrade on 12 July 2010, was signed by the interior ministers of Serbia and Turkey – Aleksandar Vulin and Süleyman Soylu respectively.

The Agreement between the governments of the two countries on reciprocal encouragement and protection of investments was signed by Minister of Economy Andjelka Atanaskovic and Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank.

Also, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of innovation in advanced technologies was signed by Minister without portfolio responsible for innovation and technological development Nenad Popovic and Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic and Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirişci signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of wildfire prevention.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Serbia and Turkey on cooperation in the field of the media and communication was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information Maja Gojkovic and President of the Directorate of Communications of the Office of the President of Turkey Fahrettin Altun.

Director of the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanovic and Head of the Digital Transformation Office of the Office of the President of Turkey Ali Taha Koç initialled the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of eGovernment.

The Protocol on cooperation between Radio Television of Serbia and the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation was signed by directors-general Dragan Bujosevic and Zahid Sobaci respectively.
