Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic and Minister of the Interior Bratislav Gasic informed today members of the Serbian government about the current situation in areas threatened by floods.
Vucevic said that Serbian Army members are on the ground, and that all the capacities of the Army have been placed at disposal.
Immediately after the session, Minister Gasic went on a tour of the flooded areas.
At today's meeting, the government adopted the Decision on the termination of the Decision on the formation of the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team, given that the spread of the virus with all its sub-variants has been significantly reduced compared to the period when this body was established, as well as that there is no need to undertake coordinated activities of state administration bodies and experts in the medical and other professions.
The government adopted the Decree on the amount of special compensation for the incentive of privileged producers of electricity in 2023, which provides funds from which the Public Company "Elektroprivreda Srbije", as a guaranteed supplier, pays incentives to privileged and temporarily privileged producers and thus ensures the costs of balancing electricity production.
Also, the Decision on the formation of the Council for the coordination of activities and measures for the growth of the gross domestic product was adopted, bearing in mind the global development of the field of artificial intelligence.
The task of the Council will be the coordination of all activities related to the growth of the domestic GDP. In addition to permanent members, the possibility of engaging experts in the work of that body is envisaged, and the Office of the Prime Minister and the General Secretariat will perform professional and administrative technical tasks.
The Serbian government decided to send humanitarian aid in priority equipment to Ukraine with the aim of supporting the electric power system of this country.
