The Serbian government adopted today the Decision to found the Bio4 DOO Beograd company, which represents a platform that will bring together researchers, professors and experts from various fields of natural sciences.
Bio4 Campus will include six faculties, nine scientific research and development institutes and a science and technology park to support the development of the startup ecosystem, as well as biopharma companies.
It is planned that this ecosystem represents a unique centre in the wider region in terms of multidisciplinarity, which will also attract researchers from other fields, such as mechanical engineering, economics, philosophy, sociology, and others.
The campus will be an opportunity for domestic researchers, but also for the return of our experts from the diaspora. Also, this kind of environment aims to partially prevent the brain drain from the country, as well as to attract researchers from all over the world.
In the long term, the ecosystem created in this way, through the development of domestic innovation, should significantly contribute to the economy of Serbia through the opening of startup companies, innovation and attracting capital for the development of a knowledge-based society.
The government also adopted the Regulation on the procedure for preparing the draft development plan of the Republic of Serbia, which prescribes the establishment of an institutional framework and organisational structure consisting of: a management body, an expert group and special expert groups.
Government members adopted the Bill on the confirmation of the Agreement on film co-production between the governments of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Italy.
This document is extremely important because local authors will be more visible on the European and world stage. Cooperation based on this agreement provides opportunities for more intense co-production cooperation between Serbia and Italy, with the participation of film professionals and experts from both sides, with the emphasis being on new mechanisms and incentives provided by Serbia to attract foreign investors.
In order to prevent major disruptions and preserve the living standards of the population, the government adopted the Regulation on the amendment to the Regulation on limiting the price of oil derivatives, which will be valid until 31 July 2023.
