Serbia, EU partners in fight against migrant smuggling

In his speech, Dačić emphasized that Serbia is a reliable European partner in combating irregular migration and the fight against migrant smuggling, as well as preventing human trafficking.
He pointed out that the challenges in the fight against human trafficking and human smuggling require increased engagement of the available human and technical capacities of the Ministry of the Interior.
Dačić assessed that it is necessary to continue with measures related to the return and establishment of cooperation with the countries of origin of irregular migrants, which are implemented with the support of EU countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that Serbia fully participates in the work of the Europol Operational Working Group, whose task is to combat the smuggling of migrants and irregular crossings of the border between Serbia and Hungary.
