He expressed his belief that the Danube Corridor will revive the entire Braničevo district and that Serbia will soon become the most beautiful place to live in Europe.
Požarevac will be closer and more accessible, gaining the opportunity for better development, and not only that city, but also Veliko Gradište, Golubac and Smederevo, as part of the Danube district, Vučević said.
The Prime Minister pointed out that he hopes that after the construction of that expressway, more people will come to this part of Serbia, and that those from the Braničevo district who live abroad today will return and continue their lives here.
Vučević added that we are waiting for the design of the highway Belgrade-Vršac, and then from Vršac to Bela Crkva.
Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić pointed out that, instead of the initially planned 23 km of the Danube Corridor, excluding the bridge over the railway near Krsna, 30, and possibly even 35 kilometers will be completed by the end of the year.
He also pointed out that with the construction of an expressway, the attitude of investors towards the Braničevo district will completely change, because experience has shown that wherever a road or railway is built, investors come.
