Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke today, on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Organisation of American States, with Minister for External Affairs, Internal Trade and Civil Aviation of Saint Lucia Alva Romanus Baptiste.
At the meeting, held on the sidelines of the aforementioned meeting, which took place in Asunción, Đurić noted that the two countries have a positive dynamic in the development of relations, stressing that geographical distance does not represent an obstacle to expanding cooperation and creating new ties between our peoples.
The head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out that Serbia and Saint Lucia share a commitment to respecting the principles of international law and resolving all issues through diplomatic channels, expressing gratitude to the interlocutor for the principled support for our position regarding the preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Today, the Minister also spoke with Minister of Foreign Affairs International Business, Trade and Energy of the Commonwealth of Dominica Vince Henderson.
On that occasion, the interlocutors agreed on the need to develop bilateral relations in all areas, strengthen economic cooperation and political dialogue.
Đurić pointed out that Serbia extremely appreciates that the Commonwealth of Dominica in international forums provides support for respecting the territorial integrity of our country.
He singled out Belgrade-based specialised exhibition EXPO 2027 as a great opportunity to concretise the mutually recognised potential for cooperation, expressing the hope that the Commonwealth of Dominica will participate in this international event.
