Prime Minister Miloš Vučević spoke today with Federal Minister of the Interior of Austria Gerhard Karner about bilateral cooperation and regional security issues.
Vučević said that he is satisfied with the cooperation between the two countries, that Austria is a big investor and a good economic partner for Serbia, and emphasized the importance of further improving bilateral relations and projects that will contribute to greater stability in the region.
The Prime Minister said that Serbia wants the best possible cooperation with Austria in the fight against human and narcotics trafficking, especially considering that Europe has been facing significant security challenges in recent years, which have been aggravated by migration caused by war and conflicts.
The Prime Minister informed Karner about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, which is extremely difficult, because Kurti is making moves to expel the Serbian people from Kosovo and Metohija, and the Serbs in our southern province are suffering great pressure and other forms of mistreatment.
He also stressed that our country dedicated to preserving peace and stability.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the support that Austria provides to Serbia on the path of European integration.
Karner pointed out that he is satisfied with the results of the joint activities of the Serbian and Austrian police at the borders of Serbia and that there is a large decrease in illegal migration.
