Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić talked today with the Commander of the NATO Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, Admiral Stuart Munsch, about cooperation and dialogue between Serbia and that alliance and the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija.

Gašić emphasised Serbia's commitment to military neutrality and building good relations with all interested parties.
According to him, Serbia remains a credible partner with a commitment to maintaining the current level of cooperation, as well as to improving relations with NATO in areas of mutual interest, under the auspices of the Partnership for Peace programme.
He said that Serbia demonstrated its willingness to find constructive, not unilateral solutions, but that the policy of the temporary institutions in Priština, which is directed against the Serbs, as well as illegal actions and the lack of implementation of the Brussels Agreement, led to the biggest crisis after its signing.
Munsch confirmed NATO's firm commitment to stability in the region and emphasised KFOR's impartial commitment to its United Nations mandate, as well as to contributing to a safe and secure environment.
