Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met in New York with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Arzu Rana Deuba on the sidelines of the general debate of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, Đurić said that Serbia is interested in further strengthening the political dialogue and overall cooperation with Nepal, especially through the intensification of high-level meetings.
He particularly expressed satisfaction with the fact that Serbia and Nepal are celebrating an important milestone this year – the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The head of Serbian diplomacy thanked Nepal for its principled position and support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, as well as its support in international organisations.
After the meeting, Đurić and Deuba signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Nepal on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports, according to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
