Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said today that in the autumn of 2025, the Serbian Armed Forces might get the first classes from the recruitment list.
In a guest appearance on TV Prva, Vučević stated that it is planned that, when all capacities are raised to the maximum, 20,000 recruits annually enter military service, which will last 75 days.
The Prime Minister said that the idea is for the Serbian Armed Forces to be ready to receive the first generation of recruits in September next year, adding that the duration of military service for those who opt for civilian service is yet to be defined.
He also pointed out that Serbia must not accept the narrative defining the event in Banjska how Priština sees it, adding that it did not happen by itself but as a reaction to a series of moves by the provisional Priština government, such as arrests, wounding and beating of Serbs.
The Prime Minister emphasised that in one year, a large number of people left the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, adding that they were put under enormous pressure and that he fears this will continue.
He assessed that this is a disgrace for the international community, which should keep the situation under control, adding that they are doing it pro forma, through statements, without any effect.
