Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Aleksandar Martinović said today that regenerative agriculture, as a modern but tradition-based practice, is not only a way of restoring degraded land, but also a vision of agriculture that is in harmony with nature, not against it.

At a conference on the transformation of food systems, which brought together ministers of agriculture from the region, Martinović emphasised that in the light of climate change and limited resources, it is necessary to move towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach and improve the health of the soil, thereby increasing its fertility and drought resilience.
He added that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has recognised the importance of regenerative agriculture and the need to accelerate its development in Serbia, which is why it has been implementing measures to encourage the application of environmentally responsible technologies for several years.
