President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić said today that our country counts on the Czech Republic as a strategic partner in both politics and economy, and that Czech companies are welcome to invest in Serbia.
At the Economic Forum, held as part of the official visit of the state-economic delegation of the Czech Republic, Vučić assessed that the strategic connection of the two countries is important for both sides.
He stated that Serbian businesspeople have a lot to learn from their Czech peers, and that the two countries can make great strides in the future in areas of common interest.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala pointed out that his country is one of the 10 most important business partners of Serbia, and recalled that in 2023, bilateral trade exceeded €2 billion and is constantly growing.
Fiala pointed out that the Czech Republic sees Serbia as a successful country with a strong economy, which, as he said, managed to ensure economic growth in difficult times and to modernise its infrastructure in an excellent way.
Czech companies are ready to further expand their investments in Serbia in a wide range of areas, he said and explained that the task of the Czech government is to strengthen relations with strategic prospective partners around the world and to expand and deepen business relations based on respect and trust.
