The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation announced that 60 start-ups will represent Serbia at the world’s largest exhibition of innovative companies “Web Summit”, which begins today in Lisbon and lasts until 14 November.
Our country, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, for the first time has its own island at this exhibition, where all Serbian start-ups will be presented to the world, as well as a special Serbian pavilion that will be the centre for the exchange of ideas from innovative technologies over the next four days.
Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović emphasised at the reception for all participants held at the Embassy of Serbia in Lisbon, that the priority of the line ministry and the Government of Serbia is to support the innovation ecosystem.
We gathered here because of young people who are brave, creative, with great ideas. We are here to support them. I invite you to make the most of this fair and connect with new investors and partners, Begović said.
The Serbian delegation at this exhibition in Lisbon consists of 400 members, according to the announcement.
