Brnabic talked with Mayor of Valjevo Lazar Gojkovic and visited the Technical School and a reconstructed part of the Community Health Centre.
She said that with today's visit she wants to give support to the new leadership of Valjevo so that this city on the Kolubara river could develop faster and as much as possible and so that the citizens could feel improvement in their quality of life as soon as possible.
The Prime Minister stated that the Valjevo Technical School is one of the best in the country and that is why it entered the list of schools that will become regional training centres, which will enable a more dynamic economy, but also easier employment for young people.
She explained that it is one of the 12 schools that will combine education and the economy. The government has set aside a little over Є1 million for the project related to this school, of which as much as Є960,000 for the most modern equipment, which will be used for the education of young people so that they could be ready for the labour market, but also for an economy that needs well-trained staff more and more.
The reconstruction of the Community Health Centre is of exceptional importance for the citizens of Valjevo, which is one of the eight health centres in the country where the works are in progress.
She recalled that the government of Serbia has so far carried out a complete renovation of 77 health centres and dispensaries in 53 local self-governments, and added that a total of approximately Є40 million has been invested for the primary health care alone.
Brnabic specified that RSD 350 million have been allocated for the Community Health Centre in Valjevo, and that the project technical documentation for the renovation of the General Hospital is being completed.
In any case, as she stated, health care is a priority for this government, and it will remain a priority for the future government as well, and that project will be completed.
The Prime Minister underlined that Valjevo needs other projects too in order to attract investors. In that sense, she said that a fast road that will connect Valjevo with the Milos the Great motorway is a strategically important project, worth Є58 million. She added that preparatory works on that road are already in progress.
Brnabic also said that one of the most important projects for Valjevo is an industrial zone in that city, which requires RSD 310 million.
The Serbian government has set aside RSD 130 million, while the City of Valjevo will provide an additional RSD 180 million.
