Prime Minister Miloš Vučević met today with INTERPOL President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi to discuss Serbia’s cooperation with the organisation and the opening of its regional bureau in Belgrade.
Vučević thanked the INTERPOL President for supporting the initiative to establish the organisation’s regional bureau in Belgrade, noting that joint efforts will be undertaken to expedite the necessary procedures, as this is of key security importance for the region.
The Prime Minister emphasised that cooperation between the Serbian police and INTERPOL is very good and expressed his belief that this visit will further deepen these relations.
Al-Raisi said he supports the opening of an INTERPOL regional bureau in Belgrade, which he noted would provide an opportunity to enhance links between countries in the region in the fight against crime.
He emphasised that Serbia has demonstrated dedication to cooperating with other countries and providing support in all international operations, as well as being a reliable partner in the fight against organised crime.
