The vision to be achieved with the help of this strategy is a gender-equal Republic of Serbia, in which women and men, girls and boys, as well as persons of different gender identities are equal, have equal rights and opportunities for personal development, provide equal contribution to the sustainable development of society and take equal responsibility for the future.
The government also adopted the National Strategy for Processing War Crimes in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2021 to 2026, as a result of commitment to strengthening the rule of law, as one of the key priorities of the Serbian government.
By adopting this strategy, Serbia confirmed its readiness for building partner relations and cooperating closely both with the countries in the region and with international institutions, whose mandate is closely related to the prevention and punishment of war crimes.
The government adopted the Bill on amendments to the Law on companies, which is of particular importance for creating a favourable business environment for economic development of the Republic of Serbia and business operations of companies in the entire territory of the state.
The legal solutions proposed by the Bill regulate the legal position of companies, in particular their establishment, management, status changes, changes to the legal form, termination and other issues which are important for their position and the position of sole proprietors.
The government also adopted the Bill on the regulation of obligations of the Republic of Serbia towards the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the basis of use of funds of general allocation of special drawing rights, approved by the Decision of the IMF Board of Governors of 2 August 2021.
Under this Decision, the Republic of Serbia was granted 627,596,351 special drawing rights, which is equivalent to around €759.71 million at this moment.
The Republic of Serbia can use these funds to cover the budget deficit and for debt refinancing as of 1 January 2022.
At the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Ivana Vujic has been dismissed from the position of Director of the National Theatre and Svetislav Goncic has been elected Acting Director.
