Tenders for construction of three new science-technology parks announced

Calling for tenders for the construction of science and technology parks is a significant step towards the development of the national innovative infrastructure, which gives special importance to the technological and innovative sector in Serbia.
More than 1,600 engineers will work in the new facilities, and the new jobs will contribute to the faster development of the IT sector in Nis, Krusevac and Cacak.
The ICT sector is the fastest growing sector in Serbia in terms of exports and the number of jobs. This year, exports will be almost four billion euros and the number of employees is growing despite the crisis, and in the entire ICT sector is more than 107,000.
By building these parks, Serbia continues to create favorable conditions for the development of innovative startups, research centres and educational institutions, the announcement states, adding that the work is expected to begin in January 2024.
