The Serbian government stated that at the AI Governance Summit of the World Economic Forum in San Francisco, hosted by the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), Serbia joined the AI Governance Alliance as the 33rd country.
The membership in the Alliance will bring faster development of artificial intelligence (AI) to Serbia with expert support, focusing on the sustainability, resilience and security of AI.
The goal of the Summit, which brought together leaders and experts from over 200 world-leading companies and organisations, was to promote responsible artificial intelligence innovation, placing ethical guidelines as a priority in technological progress.
At the Summit, Serbia was represented by Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Stefan Badza, who pointed out that in 2019 we adopted the AI Development Strategy and that Serbia is the leader in the region in the development of this field, according to the statement.
