Continuation of work of Council for coordination of activities, measures for GDP growth

At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Bill confirming the Agreement on Participation in the Central European University Exchange Programme ("CEEPUS IV"), which, in order to improve cooperation in the field of higher education, will be implemented from 2005.

The government adopted a conclusion recommending to employers in the Republic of Serbia that they allow employees – members of the Islamic community in Serbia, who celebrate Eid al-Fitr, not to work on 17 June 2024, the second day of this religious holiday, based on the fact that the first day this year's holiday is celebrated on Sunday.

Government members adopted the Decree on determining the programme of financing activities and measures to improve energy efficiency in 2024 for households, public and commercial sectors.

At today's session, the Council for the coordination of activities and measures for the growth of the gross domestic product was established, bearing in mind the need to continue the work of this body in the new mandate of the Government of Serbia. The Council will be chaired by Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.

Today, the Council for Aging and Intergenerational Cooperation has been established, which will implement measures within the aging process, promoting intergenerational cooperation and leading healthy and active aging throughout the life cycle.

The government of Serbia adopted a decision on the appointment of Vladimir Orlić as the director of the Security and Intelligence Agency, while Branko Josipović was appointed Acting Director of the Statistics Office.
