Strengthening political dialogue, economic cooperation with Argentina

Prime Minister Miloš Vučević talked today with Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Serbia Osvaldo Narciso Mársico about the improvement of bilateral relations, intensification of political dialogue and the strengthening of economic cooperation.

Vučević said that Serbia is interested in strengthening the political dialogue at all levels, assessing that Argentina is an extremely important partner of our country in the Latin American region.

Speaking about economic cooperation, the Prime Minister said that Serbia is interested in its further strengthening, pointing out that there are great and still untapped potentials in the field of agriculture and agro-industry.

Vučević expressed his gratitude to Argentina for its support for territorial integrity and sovereignty and for being firm in its position not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo.

The Prime Minister stated that he is concerned about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and underlined that it is necessary to exert international pressure on Priština in order to continue the dialogue with Belgrade and stop the terror against the Serbian people.

Vučević thanked Argentina for being abstained during the vote on the Resolution on Srebrenica in the UN General Assembly.

Ambassador Mársico confirmed that Serbia can count on the further active support of Argentina in international organisations and in accordance with international law.
