Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić pointed out today in Rome, at a panel organised by the Italian Institute for International Affairs, the basic internal and foreign policy priorities of the government of Serbia.
Addressing the academic community, diplomats, students and representatives of political life in Italy, Đurić said that the further strengthening of the economy is placed high on the agenda of our country – the construction of new highways and railways, infrastructure, investment in the IT sector and digitization are the most important directions further economic progress of the country.
Speaking about foreign policy goals, he stated that Serbia will be ready to become a full member of the EU by 2027, and at the same time expressed his gratitude to Italy for supporting our country on its European path.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said that Serbia will remain a pillar of peace and stability in the region, but that, on the other hand, the support of the international community at the highest level is needed when it comes to the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Priština and the implementation of agreements reached within the Brussels dialogue.
