Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić assessed during the talks with President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament Lorenzo Fontana in Rome, that the relations between the two countries are traditionally friendly.
He pointed out that Serbia's full membership in the EU is the primary foreign policy goal, stressing that our country will implement all necessary reforms for joining the EU by 2027.
Đurić said that Serbia will always be a guarantor of peace and stability in the region, as this is the basic prerequisite for prosperity.
He pointed out that the situation in Kosovo and Metohija is very bad, that no Serbian product has reached our citizens for a year, and that the payment system has not been functioning for six months.
The dialogue process must be placed high on the European agenda and we need help in the dialogue with the support of EU member states in implementing what was agreed upon in the agreements, Đurić concluded.
During a meeting with representatives of the Italy-Serbia Group of Friends of the Italian Parliament, the Minister pointed out that this year the two countries are celebrating 145 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations and 15 years of strategic partnership, saying that parliamentary cooperation is an important channel of communication between the two countries.
