Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić stated today that the establishment of the National Council for the Prevention of Negative Events in Sport represents one more step towards establishing greater security at sporting events.

Dačić, who presided over the first session of the council, underlined that this body will show through its work and engagement the state’s decisiveness to protect young people in sport.
He said that the main goal of this body is the harmonisation of all activities on the prevention of violence and indecent behaviour of spectators at sporting events, doping in sport, match fixing and other negative events in sport, as well as fulfilling international obligations in this field.
