Minister of Information and Telecommunications Dejan Ristić and Director of the National Radio and Television Administration of the People’s Republic of China Cao Shumin discussed today the possibilities for improving cooperation between the two countries in the field of public information.

Intensification of cooperation with China in field of public information

Cao’s visit represents the beginning of the implementation of the memorandum on cooperation in the field of public information, signed at the beginning of May this year, during the official state visit to Serbia by President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
During the meeting, the interlocutors agreed that there is room for intensifying cooperation in this area, with special reference to the presentation of contemporary audio-visual production of Serbia in China and China in Serbia.
The topics at the meeting also included the digital transformation of traditional media and the development of new digital media forms, as well as the need to establish a transparent and inclusive legislative framework in accordance with the needs of new media.
