Minister of Education Slavica Đukić-Dejanović, who is on a visit to the Republic of Cuba, today spoke with the country’s education officials about bilateral cooperation in the field of education.
As part of the visit, Đukić-Dejanović presented Serbia’s education system and attended a conference on Cuba’s education system, which she noted is characterised by a high level of literacy, given that only 0.02% of the population is illiterate.
Reforms carried out in Cuba’s education system have contributed not only to the reduction of illiteracy, but have also placed an emphasis on building skills and acquiring knowledge at all ages, she explained, adding that these experiences are significant for the implementation of lifelong learning in Serbia.
