Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke today with Secretary-General of the European Movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Haris Plakal.
Đurić pointed out that Serbia is a sincere partner of the entire region and that, in the spirit of good neighbourly relations and mutual understanding, it will continue to extend a hand of cooperation to its neighbours, among which Bosnia and Herzegovina occupies an important place.
We want a new type of relationship with Sarajevo in the future and we are ready to work on it with dedication and commitment, said Đurić.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said that our two countries are connected politically, economically, culturally and in numerous other ways, and it is up to us to continue to strengthen our relations in all domains, because strong bilateral relations also build strong regional relations.
According to him, common aspirations towards membership in the European Union are an additional point of connection between our two countries in terms of the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on the European road.
Đurić reiterated the support of the Republic of Serbia to the Dayton Peace Agreement, which respects the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the competences of Republika Srpska as an entity, as well as our firm determination to preserve a stable region based on mutual trust, common progress and economic prosperity of all citizens, according to a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
