Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović stated in Davos, Switzerland that Serbia is today allocating more than ever for science, with over half a billion euros to be invested in the construction of the BIO4 campus, which represents the future of Serbia.

Begović, together with President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, is participating in the 55th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, which is being held in this city from 20 to 24 January under the motto “Cooperation for the Intelligent Age”.
She attended a closed breakfast where the challenges and opportunities of international governance of artificial intelligence were discussed.
At the strategic session on frameworks for commercial bioeconomy, Begović discussed the advancement of bioeconomy projects, while at the central panel “Biotech under Stress”, she emphasised the importance of investing in innovation and presented Serbia’s potential in biotechnology.
In a series of bilateral meetings, including talks with Tan Yinglan from Insignia Ventures and Mark Boris Andrijanič, Vice President of Kumo.ai and former Minister of Digital Transformation of Slovenia, the Minister presented Serbia as a partner open to cooperation in innovation and science.
