Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Jelena Žarić Kovačević attended a ceremonial reception organised to mark the Republic of Serbia’s Statehood Day in Tokyo today.
The Minister emphasised that this reception serves as further evidence of the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and two peoples, which show mutual respect and appreciation, building bridges of friendship.
Žarić Kovačević expressed her belief that the relations between the two countries, which are constantly growing and developing, will reach new and higher levels of cooperation.
On the occasion of Serbia’s Statehood Day, Japanese Minister in charge of Economic Security Minoru Kiuchi sent his regards to the Serbian people, and a toast was also given by State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Hisayuki Fujii.
Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić also addressed the gathering via video message, as did Chairman of the Serbia-Japan Business Club Mutsuo Iwai.
