Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke today in Munich, ahead of the 61st Munich Security Conference, with the families of hostages abducted in southern Israel.
Đurić again appealed for all those kidnapped to be released as soon as possible, and welcomed all efforts made in that direction, as well as the previous hostage releases.
The head of Serbian diplomacy recalled that Serbian citizen Alon Ohel is among those still held captive, noting that Serbia has appealed to the international community for his immediate release.
He reiterated that Serbia stands with the families of all those kidnapped in the Hamas attack on Israel and expressed hope that the hostages will soon return to their families.
Đurić stressed that Serbia is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East, strongly supports the reached ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, and hopes for maximum efforts to ensure its continuation.
