Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović stated today, after talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, that Serbia is ready to continue to deepen its partnership with Hungary in the field of energy, including new joint projects.

Đedović Handanović pointed out that in previous years, in the midst of the energy crisis, Serbia and Hungary have proven many times that they are reliable partners.
It is our common interest that the supply through the Balkan Stream gas pipeline continues unhindered, and last year, gas transit to Hungary via Serbia increased, Đedović Handanović pointed out.
Speaking about the construction of the Serbia-Hungary oil pipeline, the Minister said that this project should provide additional security of oil supply for both countries in the long term, and an alternative supply route for Serbia.
Szijjártó stated that Hungary and Serbia continue to strengthen energy cooperation with the aim of ensuring a stable supply of energy and protecting the interests of their citizens and economies.
